Curiosities: She worked as a stylist, architect and interior designer, and taught in the USA, Canada, Spain and Germany; She won the Special Prize for Culture, granted by the Italian government in 1989 and the Praemium Imperiale for Architecture, granted by the Japan Art Association in 1991. She was president of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera in Italy between the years of 1995 and 1996. In October 16, 2012, she made her last public appearance during the Milan Triennale, when she received her latest awar: Gold Medal for Lifetime Achievement.
